David Dugger is the Executive Director of the Washtenaw Educational Options Consortium and President of Middle College Consultants. Mr. Dugger is the co-founder of the Michigan Early Middle College Association (MEMCA), Executive Board member of MEMCA, and developer and educational leader of Michigan’s 2nd and 3rd early middle college programs, Washtenaw Technical Middle College, and the Early College Alliance @ Eastern Michigan University. He is the recipient of the Governor’s Educational Excellence Award, 2013 Engineering Society of Detroit David A. Skiven Leadership Award, the 2012 University of Michigan University Musical Society Arts School of the Year Award, member of the Board of Directors for the New Education Highway (http://www.neweducationhighway.org/) and two-time awardee of the Exceptional Educational Endeavors (E3) Award.
Since 1997 Mr. Dugger has directly overseen more than 110,000 dual enrollment credit hours and has consulted in the design, development, and implementation of multiple early middle college schools and dual enrollment programs throughout Michigan and Alaska. Additionally, Mr. Dugger has served on numerous national and statewide commissions on dual enrollment, college retention, and college readiness. Most recently, Mr. Dugger served as the Michigan Association of Intermediate School Administrators (MAISA) representative on the “Reaching for Opportunity” policy workgroup (http://mitalentgoal2025.org/).
