Elizabeth Major is a Teacher Consultant for the Washtenaw Intermediate School District. She earned her bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University, graduating magna cum laude as a double major in Elementary Science and Special Education. Ms. Major earned her master's degree in teaching reading, summa cum laude, from Nova Southeastern University. She is endorsed to teach elementary general education K-8 and special education K-12.

Ms. Major has been teaching for 15+ years and this is her 5th year at the Early College Alliance. Prior to joining the ECA staff, she taught in a local school district for 11 years and has experience in multiple teaching capacities. Ms. Major has worked with students in both elementary and secondary education. She began her teaching career as a teacher consultant in an alternative high school program then taught self-contained special education at the elementary level for 5 years before becoming a teacher-consultant at the secondary level. Ms. Major found that secondary education is "where it's at" and has since spent the majority of her career as a teacher consultant at the secondary level.
